Femke Aarts, CMA, CFE
Femke Aarts is an accomplished senior executive with a proven track record in financial management, organizational management, leadership, and strategic transformation in the private and public sectors.
Aarts is a board member and the CFO of NEN, the national standardization body of the Netherlands, where she oversees business development, digital, innovation, IT, facilities, HR, finance, marketing, communication, public affairs, and international affairs. In addition, Aarts serves as VP Finance of CENELEC (European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization) and as a member of the IT strategic advisory group of the ISO (International Organization for Standardization). She is also on the supervisory board (and chair of the audit committee) of Avans University of Applied Sciences and the nongovernmental organizations FairWork and Rutgers.
Aarts earned her MBA from Radboud University and Utah State University in 1997, her CMA in 2013, and her CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) in 2016. She serves as a member of IMA’s Volunteer Leadership Standing Board Committee.
