Gerald T. Ratigan, Jr., CMA, CSCA, CPA, CPIM

Gerald Ratigan is founder of Chief Accounting Services and contract chief accounting officer for The Gearbox Entertainment Company, a global entertainment enterprise. In his current role, Ratigan provides expert accounting, internal controls, financial reporting, and M&A research and interpretations to clients. He spent the first decade of his career working in audit and advisory services for Grant Thornton and KPMG, later transitioning to industry and co-managing the internal audit department of a global diversified manufacturer. Over the past decade, Ratigan has held various senior management positions, including chief accounting officer for public and large private organizations. He has lived and worked in Melbourne, Australia, and Beijing, China, and currently resides in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

An IMA member since 2006, Ratigan helped revitalize IMA’s South Florida Chapter, founded the University of Miami’s IMA Student Chapter, and has been a member of the IMA Florida and Texas Councils, and a Campus Influencer since 2016. In 2013, he received IMA’s Young Professional of the Year Award and for the past three years, he has served on IMA’s Committee on Ethics. A member of the Stuart Cameron McLeod Society, Ratigan currently serves on IMA’s Volunteer Leadership Standing Board Committee.

Gerald holds a BBA degree in accounting and finance from the University of Miami and an MBA with a concentration in data and analytics from Louisiana State University-Shreveport. He earned his CMA in 2006 and was in IMA’s first cohort to earn the CSCA in 2017.
