Rinku Bhattacharya serves as chief financial officer for Lutheran Social Services in New York City and is responsible for the financial operations, strategy, information technology and risk management for this large non-profit organization.

Bhattacharya has over 25 years of senior level financial experience, with an emphasis on streamlining systems, automating processes, and accomplishing significant efficiencies and cost savings.

An IMA member since 1999, Bhattacharya has worked with IMA on various committees over the years. Bhattacharya was one of the founding members of the organization’s leadership academy, where she currently still serves as faculty. Bhattacharya also serves on IMA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Committee and the Global Markets Standing Board Committee.

Bhattacharya received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Calcutta and her MBA from the University of Bridgeport. She earned her doctoral degree in accounting from Pace University.
